What is the Part D Income-Related Monthly Adjustment Amount (IRMAA)?

If your earnings exceed a certain amount, you will pay an additional premium called Part D – IRMAA. IRMAA premiums start when an individual hits $85,000 in income, or when a couple filing a joint return has an income of more than $170,000. The Part D – IRMAA premium ranges from $12.70-$72.90.
